The Nike SB Dunk High Antihero is a unique twist on the classic Dunk silhouette, blending skate heritage with a touch of style. This special collaboration with skate brand Antihero comes in the white box, marking it as a limited release—though it technically still falls within the Purple Box era.
What sets this collab apart is the chopped-down ankle collar and tongue, which puts the height somewhere between a high and a mid. It’s a subtle tweak, but the exposed padding definitely changes the vibe. Antihero branding is all over the shoe—the tongue tag features their logo, while the brand’s signature bird is debossed onto the heel. Even the insoles carry Antihero branding, and if you remove them, you’ll find a hidden “stay ready” message on the Zoom Air unit. The insoles also have a “dirty footprint” graphic. Finally, under and on the inside of the wingflaps is an interesting striped pattern.
At first, I wasn’t entirely sold on these, but after seeing a few on-foot shots online, they really started to grow on me. The “pre-vintaged” look adds character without making them feel too beat-up, and catching them on sale at CCS made pulling the trigger even easier.
These come with two sets of SB laces—one grey and one white—both finished with metal aglets. As mentioned above, the shoes are packaged in the white Nike SB box.
Materials
Nike didn’t hold back on textures here. You’ve got crackled leather on the toebox, eyelets, and upper ankle, a soft and roughed-up yet smooth leather on the side panels and toecap, and even softer tumbled leather on the Swoosh and wings. The mix of materials makes these stand out, adding some depth and a worn-in feel. While the quality isn’t groundbreaking, it’s still quite nice and holds up to what you’d expect from an SB Dunk.
Fit & Comfort
The fit is pretty much standard for SB Dunks—snug at true to size. If you want a bit more breathing room, consider going up half a size. The Zoom Air cushioning in the heel provides decent comfort whether you’re skating or just wearing them around.
I think the higher cut and the chopped down padding around the ankle does give these a bit more breathing room than most other modern SB’s.
If these are sold out in skate shops or online, you can try looking for them on eBay.
